Leave room to use the container after delivery
When choosing an Allen storage location, picture the largest items you will carry through the doors. The container may fit beside a building while leaving too little room to load it comfortably. Mark the door end and consider the working space needed by people, carts, or equipment. Share that intended use with the placement instructions.
Keep retrieval in the plan
Fencing, landscaping, or construction added after delivery can restrict a later collection. Consider how the transport equipment would reach the unit again. TCT's initial delivery review should include the actual unloading space, while your property plan should keep the container useful and accessible over time.
Can the doors face either direction?
Explain the preferred orientation before quoting. The achievable position depends on the approach and handling method. Changing the door direction at arrival may require additional maneuvering or a revised plan, so include it in the original sketch and photos.
Allen: plan storage placement around future property use
For an Allen receiving property, mark any planned changes near the container: a new drive, building extension, fence, or landscaping. Explain whether those changes occur before or after delivery. Leave a practical route for everyday use and eventual collection. Reviewing the longer-term layout helps avoid choosing a convenient initial spot that becomes isolated once surrounding work is complete.
Can I enclose the area after delivery?
Consider retrieval access before doing so. Tell TCT about the intended enclosure during planning; the fact that a container was delivered does not guarantee it can later be removed through a changed layout.
